Friary Park - Coronation Cup

The Coronation Cup is one of our favourite events. Hosted annually since 1953 by Friary Park; Muswell Hill has had an illustrious record over the past 60 years.

The event begins with a competition where everyone bowls simultaneously at a wooly spider in the centre of the green. The winner gets a bottle of whisky - this year is was a scotsman and president of Friary Park - John.

The main event is five-rink round robin where each of the five visiting teams faces each of the five home teams. The visitors move rink after every 5 ends.

For the second year running Mill Hill came away with the prize. The other Hills - Parliament and Muswell finished second and third respectively.

Richard, Gerry and Dave L we relieved to come away with a respectable score.
